For the second time in a week it is with great sadness that I am the bearer of bad news. Labour's initial #2 candidate on the Mid & West Wales regional list Mari Rees has died of cancer, aged just 52. The former BBC journalist was likely to win a seat in next months Assembly elections.
It was brought to our attention at the weekend that Rees had stood down because of her illness. Rebecca Evans has moved from fourth to second on Labour's list to replace Rees.
