On 9th September 2010 the deferred elections for the City Councils of Exeter and Norwich took place. Here are the ward by ward breakdowns for the last few elections in Norwich (including 2010). The Councillors up for election were last elected in 2006. Blank boxes in the 2010 rows denote that party is not fielding a candidate in that ward.
We did preview and round-up posts for these elections for those looking to put a little flesh on these figures. Here are the Exeter results.

ReplyDeleteFantastic result for Labour in Norwich. In 2009 county council eletions - same wards, same boundaries despite it being county rather than city - Labour only won two out of the 13 seats. Last night, won 7/13, holding Catton Grove for first time in four years, and winning back Bowthorpe from the Tories. Looking ahead, the Tories will now need to defend seats in both wards in 2011 and 2012 to deprive Labour of overall majority, even without taking account of Lakenham which looks unlikely hold for Libs in 2012. In Wensum and Mancroft, Labour is now breathing down the necks of the Greens.
Aggregate votes for parties across the city:
Labour 9906; Green 7741; Libs 4910; Cons 5532; UKIP 529. (back of fag packet calculation by tired person!)
New Council: Labour 16 (+1); Green 14 (+1); Libs 5 (-1); Con 4 (-1).
